Metro Station

The only reason I am putting Metro Station on my blog is because Miley's brother, Trace Cyrus is in the band.

All about Metro Station

Metro Station is an electronic pop band hailing from Hollywood, California signed to Columbia/Red Ink Records. They are currently touring with Anberlin, Mae, and Motion City

Metro Station was started by Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso in 2006 after their mothers introduced them to each other. Since they both shared musical talent, they decided to use it in the creation of a band. Shortly after, Blake Healy was added as a keyboardist and synthesizer, while Musso remained as lead vocalist, and Cyrus as lead guitarist. The trio together recorded the demo track "Seventeen Forever", which they released on their Myspace Music website. The track gained the attention of percussionist Anthony Improgo, and soon after he joined as the band's drummer. With the four of them, they quickly became popular on Myspace Music, topping the Myspace Music Unsigned Band's charts. A Red Ink intern discovered the band while looking through the Myspace Music charts, and they were signed shortly thereafter.
In the July 2007 issue of Alternative Press, an indie music magazine, Metro Station was listed as one of the "22 Best Underground Bands (That Likely Won't Stay Underground for Long)".
The band released their first full length album on September 18, 2007, with songs produced by Joshua Cain and Justin Pierre of the power pop band Motion City Soundtrack.
The single Shake It appeared as the free "Single of the Week" in Apple's iTunes Store on October 16, 2007.

Metro Station will be opening for band Cobra Starship, along with We The Kings and The Cab on Cobra Starship's 2007-08 USA tour, "The Really Really Ridiculously Good Looking Tour". Dates and cities available at
